Manahan camp seeks Hold Departure Order against Ramgen slay suspects

Girlfriend of murdered Ramgen Revilla, Janelle Manahan is in pursuit of one of her boyfriend’s “suspected” killers. Lawyers representing Miss Manahan are petitioning for the cancellation of Ramon Bautista’s Philippine passport.

Attorney Restituto Mendoza, one of the lawyers working for Manahan already appeal to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). According to Mendoza, the purpose is to limit the movement of Ramona, one of Ramgen’s siblings who were pointed by witnesses as the people behind the killing. With the cancellation of Ramona’s Philippine passport, it will be easier for authorities to secure and deport her back to the country and face the charges being filed against her.

The petition calls for the circulation of Ramona’s name and photograph around the different consular offices of the country abroad.

However, Ramona is not the only suspect that the lawyers are concentrating on. The Manahan camp also filed for a Hold Departure Order against the other individuals suspected for the killing.

"Assurance namin ito kahit pa nakakulong na ang 5 sa kanila, may pending bail kasi sila and kahit makabalik pa si Ramona sa bansa ‘di na siya makakaalis ulit," explained Mendoza, saying that this way, they will be sure that the suspects will be present during trial. According to Mendoza, the petition will be acted upon once a court order has already been released.

Ramona has been off the country for almost 3 months now, days after her brother was killed in his own home.

Aside from the cases filed against Ramona and other suspects involved in the attack against her and her boyfriend, Janelle is also dealing with the scandal of a leaked sex video between her and slain boyfriend. Recently, Janelle made an appeal to the public to stop the upload of the said video and called on for Bong Revilla’s help in getting it off the internet.
